Bing Crosby season opens

DEL MAR — The third season of fall horse racing is underway. The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club’s Bing Crosby season opened last Friday for a 15-day run, which comes to and Dec. 4.

Races will happen Thursday through Sunday with the first posts beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Apart from opening day, the racetrack also honored the military with several Veterans Day events.
